About us

Independent thinking. Cleaner indoor air.

Our work connects air filtration, integrated building products and environmental monitoring, helping organisations turn indoor air quality challenges into improvements.

Airbon began with a building...

When founder Sharon Isaac-Upton took on the restoration of a Grade II listed property that had stood empty for a decade, the project revealed problems including mould, dry rot and poor airflow. Understanding what had gone wrong led her into building breathability, moisture management and air filtration.

That research introduced her to Smart Air and its straightforward approach to effective, affordable filtration. In 2021, she founded Airbon Ltd, bringing those products to UK consumers.

Working with homes, schools, healthcare facilities and businesses brought a wider range of requirements into view. Effective equipment mattered, but so did noise, space, appearance, maintenance and the way people used it.

Developing solutions around real buildings

Working across homes, schools and healthcare has shaped a clear direction for Airbon: technology that fits the building, addresses a specific problem and works for the people using it.

That includes bespoke filtration developed around interiors, alongside integrated kitchen filtration and automatic integrated dehumidification for social housing. These interventions bring air quality improvements into existing homes without taking up valuable floor space.

Connecting insight with action

Alongside physical products, we are developing connected dashboards that help organisations understand indoor conditions and evaluate improvements.

Our school air quality map brings indoor readings together with outdoor measurements. Air quality dashboards make monitoring data easier to interpret, while our next development will connect smart plug data with environmental readings, helping teams understand when equipment runs, how much electricity it uses and how conditions change.

The ambition is to make it easier to identify where action is needed, choose an intervention and assess what it achieves.

Tell us what you’re working on

Whether you are specifying products, planning a programme or looking for a development or delivery partner, we would welcome a conversation. Bring us your requirements, your building challenges or an idea worth exploring.
