A new filter may have a faint scent from the glue which is also non-toxic. As a HEPA filter gets used, it gets filled up with dirt and particles. We tried to make the filters as environmentally friendly as possible. For example, we replaced metal frames with biodegradable cardboard. We also make sure to only use certified environmentally friendly glue in our filters, and to reduce the amount of glue without compromising on cleaning efficiency. Another ‘pro’ is lower air resistance, which allows more air through. But this is at the detriment of lifespan and possibly CADR.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003c!-- \/wp:paragraph --\u003e\n\n\u003c!-- wp:paragraph --\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eNOTE: above CADR all refer to f-CADR or ‘formaldehyde CADR’.
